Bizarre: all of Paris is infested with bedbugs

There's a good chance you've heard something about Paris Fashion Week in the past few days. It all looks glamorous, right? The most beautiful shows, from Chanel to Hugo Boss... All the big brands are of course present again, just like the biggest supermodels in the world. But behind the scenes, this year was anything but glitter and glamour. The theme this year was more: bugs and bites.

Paris is currently dealing with a significant bedbug infestation, and that's a serious nightmare because the whole city is infested. Not just the beds, but also public transport: a ride on the metro can leave you with itching and red bumps for a week. Add to that the fact that it's currently quite warm in the French capital; it's therefore extra easy for those little creatures to jump on your skin. Damn.

On TikTok, it's also going viral: you see all the victims of these unwelcome visitors. I've never been so happy to miss Paris Fashion Week. Did you also have FOMO? After seeing these TikToks, not anymore...

Please do your research on the hotels in Paris and spend a little more – check reviews, check online and ask to see the rooms before you go in.
