Wow: Amayzine has just turned ten years old

That is roughly estimated to be 25,550 pieces that we have written and you have read. Some were devoured like that article by Liesbeth Rasker about Secret Single Behavior (for example, putting out your cigarette on your plate and vacuuming naked). I also thank Jet van Nieuwkerk (today coincidentally also my birthday) whose post about Dating Disasters I still use as an example for the perfect Amayzine article. Peggy Weijergang, style icon, who sprinkled her advice and fashion knowledge over us. We were in New York, Paris, London, Milan, Moscow (crazy idea), Turkey, and Greece. I stood next to Lady Gaga in a bath with champagne bottles, high-fived with Gigi Hadid, took a selfie with David Beckham, had tea with Madame d’Ornano, the great woman behind Sisley, in her art-filled apartment in Paris. It was and is a big dream. The best part? Walking through H&M (or at some other random place) with my daughters and being tapped on my shoulder by one of you saying how much joy you get from Amayzine. And also: getting to work with the most wonderful women (and occasionally a man) in the country. Dear Lil and Lotte who have been with us for so many years and whom I have seen become mothers. Of course, Daniëlle with whom I have now merged into a cocktail of colleagues and best friends. Manouk and Lysanne who continue our lovely tradition where the intern just keeps working. Bo, we expect that from you too, of course. Wieke who has been providing us with the best entertainment news for almost five years and who is always, really always online. Sophie who has been examining the dating landscape for a year and at a very short distance Sophie van der Meer who is indeed the editor-in-chief of Italiamo is, but who sits at our block and impresses us every day with her outfits and trivia. And our silent strength Johannes who ensures that everything runs and works and Maartje who catches all the typos and language errors from our pieces. Then of course a big thank you to Lianne and Leonie for administration, the best lunches, listening ears, and a always filled jar of candy and lastly my beloved who once gave me the push to leave my comfortable job and jump off that rock into the ocean of adventure. Cheers to you, to at least another decade.
