Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort

In my head, I'm already planning my next vacation to Dubai. I was here for the first time in January and actually went there without any expectations; I heard so many different experiences. Some found it terrible, while others would love to live there. I definitely do not fall into that first category because I really thought it was amazing. Wonderful weather, so much delicious food, and the hotels are truly next level. What I totally did not expect is how big it actually is; I was there for only four days and I feel like I saw two percent of all of Dubai. But: I did tackle that two percent very well.

Two of the four days, I slept in such a special and nice hotel that I want to recommend it to you. It was the Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort; I have truly never experienced anything like this before. It was the first two days we stayed here, and we were already a bit overwhelmed by Dubai; everything is so big, tall, and over the top. And we hadn't even arrived at the resort yet...

The Anantara World Islands Resort is located on the — the name says it all — World Islands. This is a group of islands created off the coast of Dubai. Fun fact: it was designed by a Dutchman. From above, these islands form a world map, and if you have that in front of you, this resort is located at the tip of South America.

How do you get there? That was already quite an experience in itself: you check in at another Anantara hotel located on Palm Jumeirah, and then you are taken to the resort by speedboat. So cool. We arrived in the evening, and you immediately have a fantastic view of the Dubai skyline. The sky was very clear, so we could catch the light show of the Burj Khalifa. Very special.

And that's just the ride there. The resort itself is just as special; it is really set up like a small village with different streets. In terms of food, you have two restaurants, and there is also a bar to have a drink afterwards. The rooms are mega nice and range from gigantic family rooms to double rooms, it just depends on what your budget allows.

We really came to ultimate relaxation here, it was truly a wonderfully relaxing start to the vacation. Immediately diving into the sea or the gigantic pool from your room. In the afternoon, doing a bit of golfing (or another activity), of course, having an extensive breakfast in the morning (both buffet and à la carte), and in the evening watching the light show with a glass of wine from your private island. Can I go back already?
