At these restaurants in New York, the celebs eat

If you also follow the Instagram account DeuxMoi you are probably familiar with the Sunday Spotted. Every Sunday, she lists all the DMs (often with photos) sent in by followers who have spotted celebs somewhere in the world. By far, most celebs are spotted in New York, and when I was there in April, I had high hopes of running into someone. But unfortunately: apparently, Taylor Swift was walking through Greenwich Village with friends Gigi Hadid and Blake Lively while I was exploring Williamsburg. And while I was watching The Real Housewives of NYC in my hotel room via Hayu, I also saw them at various hotspots — where I had also been, but unfortunately, they were nowhere to be found then. New York is always a bit bigger than you think...
But if you are going to The Big Apple and want to meet the celebs, you should definitely make a reservation at one of these spots. And bring your credit card, because the taste of the celebs is not the cheapest...
1. Via Carota, 51 Grove St.
A lovely Italian restaurant in the West Village. Extremely good food, of course very pricey, and you have a very good chance of running into celebs here.
Who often comes here: Timothée Chalamet, John Mayer, B.J. Novak, Sabrina Carpenter, and Jake Gyllenhaal.
2. Carbone, 181 Thompson St.
The restaurant in Greenwich Village where the celebs come, and many of them come for the famous penne à la vodka. It is extremely popular, so reserve well in advance — with a week in advance, you are unfortunately out of luck.
Who often comes here: Kourtney Kardashian, Justin and Hailey Bieber, J.Lo, Leonardo DiCaprio, David Beckham, Jay-Z, and Kanye West.

3. or having coffee at, 286 6th Avenue
And after eating at Carbone, you should have a drink here, also in Greenwich Village. You can also eat there, but especially as a bar, it is very popular among celebs.
Who often comes here: Leonardo DiCaprio, Jim Carrey, J.Lo, Heidi Klum, and Alessandra Ambrosio.
4. Pastis, 52 Gansevoort St.
A very nice French bistro in the Meatpacking District (also with a nice terrace, by the way). Nice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Who often comes here: Sarah Jessica Parker, Jack Nicholson, Madonna, and Jake Gyllenhaal.

5. The Polo Bar, 1 E 55th St
This bar is owned by Ralph Lauren and is known to be very exclusive (and very expensive; maybe skip the food and just have a drink). But those reservations are also very hard to make; you need to be there at least a month in advance.
Who often comes here: Meghan Markle, Andy Cohen, Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, and Hillary Clinton.
6. Pebble Bar, 67 W 49th St
A bit easier to get into, but still quite exclusive. But hey, then there's a good chance you'll run into The Real Housewives or Pete Davidson. And it's close to Rockefeller Center, so if you're in the area...
Who often comes here: Justin Theroux, The Real Housewives of New York, Jason Sudeikis, and Pete Davidson.

7. Casa Cipriani, 10 South St.
Not only in New York is this a hotspot for celebs, every location of Cipriani is popular among A-listers. Unfortunately, access here is only for members, unless you book a very expensive room... Or make some good connections in NYC.
Who often comes here: Taylor Swift, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Drew Barrymore, John Legend, and The Real Housewives of New York.
