Chris Brown is being sued

I really find this a difficult issue: can you separate the art of an artist from how that artist is? Take for example a Kevin Spacey: insane actor, phenomenal, but it seems that he is an incredibly nasty guy. The actor won the lawsuit against Anthony Rapp last July, who accused him of assault (Spacey was found not guilty), but the stories keep piling up.

At Chris Brown I consider that a different case: everything he has on his record is largely proven, with the extremely violent assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna being the most well-known example. Seriously, if you haven't read that police report: absolutely do it. It's terrible what it says, extremely intense, but I dare bet that you won't understand why this man still gets a platform afterwards. The whole ‘three strikes and you’re out’ principle no longer applies to him, as he has messed up many more times.

Now he is being sued again for an assault that allegedly took place last February in a club. Abe Diaw was also in that club, and he claims that when he wanted to say goodbye to Brown (the two have known each other for seven years according to him) he expected a hug, but instead was hit on the head with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila.

This happened in nightclub TAPE in England, and according to Diaw, Brown is now seen as a fugitive there, and therefore does not go there anymore.

Undoubtedly to be continued: Chris Brown or his management has not yet responded, but Abe Diaw is not letting it go. According to him, he has suffered lasting damage from the incident and is experiencing PTSD.
