On this date, the funniest Christmas movie of the year will be online

Maybe I find all Christmas movies the most fun about the holidays and the whole period around it. The Christmas atmosphere is always portrayed just a bit better (logically, because they are movies) than how it really is. A little less stress about all the dinners, fewer after-dinner dips, fewer hangovers from all the wine... Yes, I wouldn't mind if life were a bit more like a Christmas movie.

My favorite this year is going to be Christmas As Usual, whose original title is Så Var Det Jul Igjen. It is a Norwegian romcom that will be on Netflix on December 6, so luckily we don't have to wait too long for it. And do we ever have enough romcoms? Of course not, especially not during the Christmas days.

Christmas As Usual is about Thea, who returns to the remote village where she comes from for the holidays to celebrate a traditional Christmas with her family. This year she is bringing someone for the first time: her Indian boyfriend Jashan. And her family is not used to that, someone with a different background, different culture, and different habits.

The unfortunate thing is that there doesn't seem to be any trailer available for this movie, but I read a lot of positive reactions online and many people who (like me) are really looking forward to this film. I think it’s because I always find Scandinavian films and series just a bit better written; they are often witty, funny, and smart. Take a Hjem Til Jul (Home For Christmas), that was also so much fun. Yep, this is going to be my favorite this year.
