Düsseldorf on the agenda? This is where you want to eat

For those who are going to parade at the Christmas market in Düsseldorf soon, but don't feel like another serving of Reibekuchen and Bratwurst, don't worry. From me to you, the best, most delicious restaurants in the German city where you don't have to convert to the smell of cheese fondue and glühwein for a while. From Asian to Italian cuisine — there's something for everyone. Or you can just try them all... that's fine too. January 1st is still a while away.
Qomo
Sushi lovers pay attention: you MUST eat here. You do need a hefty wallet, but that's mainly due to the location. Not only do you have a view of the heart of Düsseldorf, you do this from 175 meters in the air. Yes, you're actually in a television tower with a 360-degree view of the city. And the best part: the restaurant rotates very slowly so you can see every corner of Düsseldorf. Do I need to explain the menu? Alright then. Beef tataki, spicy tuna roll, wagyu, and so on, and so forth. You pay a bit, but you will definitely score points with it.

The way to Napoli
No one says no to a good Italian. Especially not to this pizzeria. How the menu looks is probably no surprise to many: just pizzas. For less than twenty euros, you have a full-size pizza on your plate, so ideal if you're out with a large family. However, you definitely won't be sitting alone, as there are always people around. So make sure to reserve in advance via their site. And if I can give you one tip: save some space and order the ‘Nerone alla Mimo’ for dessert. It's a kind of focaccia with Nutella, Kinder Bueno, and pistachio. Fan-tas-tic.

The Paradise Now
You have to love it: a restaurant that turns into a club in the evening. Sometimes this can even be a bit tacky in my opinion, but this restaurant exceeded my expectations. They don't rely on the service, but rather on the chic bohemian interior and the food. From truffle ravioli and carpaccio to rib-eye and vegan curry: they have something for everyone. It's extra fun to go with a large group of friends if you're in the mood for some music, or even a live show if you're lucky.

Chez Claude
Driving? About a ten-minute drive from the center, you have Chez Claude. The atmosphere can make or break a restaurant (in my opinion), and this one is more than good. You enter a lit indoor garden surrounded by glass with a wonderfully cozy interior inside. Lots of candles, lots of tables, lots of people. Honestly feels like a living room, but instead of a simple meal, the menu features steak tartare and escargot. After all, you're in a French restaurant, right? I do recommend making a reservation, and you can do that via the number on their Instagram page.
