We’re baahaaaack. And it secretly feels like ages since Expeditie Robinson was last on TV, so it was really high time. Nice to be back on the couch, watching a bunch of celebrities we barely know, while they survive on a deserted island. Will this ever get boring? Of course not, because during the first episode my brain already went into overdrive.

1. ‘If you look to your right, you suddenly see some flora-fauna nut who is on HLF8 every week with a different iguana’ is probably the best description of Floris Göbel I’ve ever seen.

2. Voice-over: ‘Floris is the Netherlands’ most famous plant and animal expert.‘ Freek Vonk, who is watching Expeditie at home on the couch: ’…’

3. If participants don’t know who you are, you’d better not mention that you were an elite athlete, but just say you were a TV chef or something; people want those in their team, elite athletes always get kicked out first. They should hire me as an Expeditie advisor.

4. I’ve seriously been watching Expeditie for years and I’ve never paid attention during a trial explanation; I’ll see when it starts. People who do listen attentively and understand it in one go: you’ve really played life to the fullest, in my opinion.

5. Roosmarijn, who is mainly looking forward to forming beautiful friendships: absolutely lovely.

6. So typical that Jaimie is portrayed as a diva who only wants luxury, while her ex Lil Kleine left on his own within three days because it all turned out to be a bit disappointing and he’s the one who is still considered cool by some people. Not by me, though, but by some people.

7. Aaaah, how delightful this trial is, and I predicted it: Jaimie will be the surprise of the season. I love being right.

8. ‘I’m basically fitter… than people who aren’t fit… But with people who are fitter… it gets tricky.’ Tile wisdom number one from Jochen with many more to come.

9. Not even 24 hours as a team and already being sent away. This is the trauma of being the last one chosen during gym class times a hundred. You are cruel, cruel people, dear makers.

10. Krista: agrees with the girls that a man will definitely go out first

Also Krista: seizes the first opportunity to send a woman away

Aiii, I fear this will cost her dearly…

11. Aaah, that poor Eva. Honestly, I really couldn’t handle being sent away first, without a real reason. It feels really personal. I advocate for a gigantic comeback for Eva. Survive until the merge and then send your whole old camp home. Hatsaaaa.

12. As Guido already says: Expeditie has really begun now. AND I MISSED IT. Yippee, see you next week.
