Expedition Robinson: Aftershow episode 10
Time flies when you’re watching Expeditie Robinson, because we have already reached episode 10. They have been on the island for about three weeks now, and we ten on the couch, in bed, or wherever you watch the episodes. So if you look at it that way, we are definitely having a lot more relaxation. Except for the merging dinner, because I would like to have that served too. But well, they still have a week or two to go, so we are far from done. And thankfully so, because the game has only just begun: the first episode after the merge. Let’s goooo.
1. Ooooh no, I see this ending badly. Jaimie is leaving. She wants out. Well, to be honest: I thought it took a long time before someone voluntarily took their stuff. Personally, I find that really unfortunate, because I think she’s such a nice person, and I believe many people (rightly) will come to see that after Expeditie.
2. Seriously: this challenge seems really fun to me. A bit of an obstacle course, a bit of quizzing. Sure, you do it on sleep deprivation and too little food (aside from the merging dinner), but other than that, I can totally get behind this. Let’s go.
3. Can we also take a moment to acknowledge the fact that Floris, after almost three weeks of Robinson, without a decent shower, hair products, brushes, you name it, still looks SO good?! So unfair; he looks like he’s been lounging in an all-inclusive resort for weeks.
4. Yes, typical Robinson to throw a wrench in the works again. You won the challenge? Great for you, but you have to choose who might lose their vote. You lost the challenge? No stress, you just get another chance to undo it. Pfff, still a nice mindf*ck.
5. Seriously, and then you choose Mark? MARK? That guy just got back from Loser Island five seconds ago, let him be for a moment.
6. I see quite a bit of negativity about Maxim on social media, and I honestly don’t really understand why, because I actually like him. If I had to go out for drinks with someone and had to choose from all the participants, he would definitely be in my top 3. Seems great to me.
7. Who would have thought that I would be sitting on my couch crying over Jochen (whom I don’t know) getting a necklace because his daughter (whom I don’t know) turned eleven? This is the sweetest. Admittedly: it’s becoming a bit of a stallion ball, but a very sweet one.
8. Unlike the group challenge, a balance beam seems like HELL to me. I might as well give up right away, because I keep bumping into tables, doors, and walls. Or just fall over, that has happened before.
9. And yes, I am of course team Mark. Krista just lost that challenge and I don’t think that can suddenly be undone. So sorry makers, but I’m not supporting your sadistic game.
10. And there goes Mark. Goooodverdetyyyffu… If this means they are going to vote him out, I’m completely done with this show. In one episode Jaimie and Mark out? Then you’ve lost me. Someone else will have to take care of these aftershows because I’ll be checked out.
11. Nice preview: because Jaimie has left, the Island Council is different than usual, so that will probably be a black vote and I fear for Krista that her name will be on it.
12. Maxim offering that he can be voted for is something I really don’t like. The suspicions that he indeed wants to go home are immediately confirmed in his confessional… Oh Jaimie, what have you done? This is going to create a domino effect. Everyone heading home. Scheisse.
13. It would be something, by the way, if only men are left in the game — I can totally see that happening. Ilse and Iris certainly won’t give up easily and are doing well in the group, but ultimately it’s still boys will be boys.
14. That’s why my prediction is that a man will win, and I guess it might just be Floris. I have zero basis for that, it’s just my gut feeling, and that’s usually wrong. But if it is, then I can say I predicted it.
15. Next week: Krista’s head on the chopping block. Aii, that’s going to be something… And shall we all manifest that Maxim just stays? TOP.
