For less than 10 euros by train to Paris: it is possible

Starting next year, staying at home will really cost you more, because then you can seriously be in Paris for ten euros and no, this is not an early (or late) April Fool's joke. And it's also good for the environment, because you will be traveling by train. Specifically with GoVolta, which has announced big plans for next year — and we are of course very happy about that.
How on earth can it be so cheap? GoVolta has decided to lease second-hand materials (learned something new: apparently you can lease trains) and they run less frequently than for example the Eurostar. So the train will be quite full, but hey: as long as you have a spot, that's not so bad at all.
Even better news: Paris will not be the only destination. They also have plans to go to Berlin (and other destinations in Germany) and various destinations in Belgium.
Incredible news of course, and then there is one downside: it will take you a bit longer. For example, it takes 8 hours to Berlin instead of the usual 6 hours. The train ride to Paris takes about 6.5 hours, normally 4.5. But well, sitting for two hours longer for this money is really no problem for me at all.
