Netflix tip of the day: Longest Third Date

It could happen to you: you do something spontaneous like booking a plane ticket, and suddenly a pandemic comes around the corner. And as if that wasn't bad enough, it's also a trip with your new fling. Oh, and it's your third date. And now you're stuck in Costa Rica. No, this isn't a horror movie (it could have been), but a new docu on Netflix.
It's called Longest Third Date and that sums it up pretty well. Matt and Khani, from the United States, matched on the dating app Hinge and decided to meet up. That first date went so well that the second date quickly followed. The chemistry was so good that they spontaneously booked a ticket to Costa Rica for their third date. Ah, YOLO and that sort of thing, right?
It does sound like a very nice and romantic idea, if it weren't for the fact that it was March 2020 and they soon learned after arriving that that one Covid-19 virus turned out to be quite a big deal and the whole world went into lockdown. This meant no more return flights to America for Matt and Khani. It also meant they were forced to stay in a foreign country.
And so they ended up cohabiting in Costa Rica on their third date, and this indeed became the longest date in the history of ever. It's really a fun, sweet docu with many funny moments. Because how intense is it when you suddenly have to share everything with someone you barely know, and what do you still have to talk about when you're locked up at home?
