Again, a B&B owner Vol Liefde puts her business up for sale

Marian B&B full of love

Sorry, I really have to complain about our favorite show B&B Full of Love. Because yes, this season is just as fun as the last one, the participants are just as quirky (for the most part), but I am a little scared. Scared of the Temptation Island effect, meaning that participants are no longer genuinely participating for love. Because that hasn't been the case with Temptation for years. Exactly no one participates to ‘test their relationship’, no, they want Instagram followers, a lot of them, and quickly a bit.

And I see that happening a bit in the future of B&B Full of Love: participating in the show for publicity and/or fame. Earlier, Joy already put part of his B&B up for sale, it has become quite clear that he just wants to become an influencer (he is also already giving ‘courses’ on how to set up a B&B) and it comes in handy that his beautiful Mount Joy has appeared on TV, because that's how you reach more potential buyers.

But Marian has also given in, and that makes me doubt her sincerity regarding participation. Fortunately, it is not her B&B that is going up for sale (she would be crazy to do that, I would never part with that beautiful palace in Portugal), but it is about her real estate company Portuguese Property Investments. After thirty years, she is letting go of ‘her baby’. On Instagram, she lets it be known that ‘interested parties can message her’. And of course, people know how to find her Instagram account, as she is participating in the most popular show of the moment.

Maybe it's my cynical self, who sees it that way. I would prefer to convince myself that there are still people who really want to find love. My hope now lies entirely with Debbie and Paul.
