Huh: Mount Joy from B&B Vol Liefde is for sale

What a wonderful enjoyment again, B&B Full of Love. In the first episode, we saw spiritual dances and got to know Joy and his Mount Joy. Side note: how hilarious was it that Babette is hitchhiking and then asks someone in a car if they can take her to ‘Mount Joy’. As if that place of his is the landmark in Málaga. Well, at least it turned out well.

But Mount Joy might soon be Mount Someone Else, because the place is for sale on the Spanish site Idealista. The asking price is now at 800,000 euros, but you do get 365 square meters in return, spread over eleven bedrooms. There is more than enough space to build a bit more here and there, as the total area is 58,786 square meters.

And they know how to sell it, you know. The site states, for example, the text: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, this is a rare opportunity, on that promises not only financial success but also the chance to own a slice of heaven on earth.’ Oooké Joy, take it easy, it’s a nice piece of land you have there, but let’s not exaggerate.

However, Joy cannot be held back and continues: ‘Seize this moment, take hold of this unique opportunity, and embark on a journey to a world of beauty, tranquility, and financial prosperity. Don’t let this chance pass you by.’ If you read it like this, you would think you’re going to a yoga retreat instead of spending 800K on a hut in the woods near Málaga.

But the most important question is of course: why is it for sale? The timing is of course very suspicious, because why would you put your B&B up for sale just at the moment you’re on TV? My first instinct is that he is participating in the program for the free advertising for this B&B, so he can sell it for the full amount and thus live in ~financial prosperity~ But that’s the cynical voice in me. Maybe he’s selling it because he met the love of his life during the recordings and is now going to emigrate with that person to another country — that sounds a lot more romantic. We will see, because B&B Full of Love is already a treat.
