This Netflix series seems too scary to finish watching

Are there any horror fans in the room? Then I have a really nice tip for you, which you might already know. This horror series has been online for a while, but is making a real comeback online — it is said to be too scary to watch all the way through. Viewers are complaining online that they have become terrified of it. ‘I just finished the season and it is the scariest thing I have ever watched in my entire life,’ someone writes on Twitter.

It's about the French series Marianne, which is about the writer Emma who returns to the village where she grew up. There she discovers that an evil spirit that used to appear in her nightmares is now haunting people in the real world.

Not exactly realistic, but I can relate to the comments from viewers: everything about ghosts is also terrifying to me. I get nightmares just thinking back to the first time I watched The Sixth Sense. Seriously, anything with demons and evil entities guarantees me sleepless nights. In other words: this series is going on my to-watch list. Better not sleep.

The unfortunate thing is that the series received very good reviews at the time, but too few people watched it for a second season. And while creator Sam Bodin actually had plans for three seasons in total. Maybe it can still happen now that Marianne is making a comeback?
