OMG: this is what Meghan Markle wrote about in her old blog posts

It's almost completely official: Meghan Markle is making a comeback with her lifestyle blog The Tig, which she stopped five years ago. The reason for this was not known at the time, but I think we can fill that in ourselves by now, right? Because if you end up in the royal family, a blog full of unfiltered opinions is probably not really appreciated, it seems to me.

What I find most disappointing is that her articles were also removed from the site back then. To be honest, I had no idea that Meghan had even blogged at all, so I unfortunately never got to read her posts. I only knew her as the incredibly beautiful Suits actress who suddenly became the Duchess of Sussex and was completely unaware that she was a blogger.

But good news, because it turns out: a few of her old articles can still be found on the internet and it's exactly the same as how it was published on The Tig. The blog posts mainly covered lifestyle, travel, food, design, and art, in which she occasionally shared a bit about herself, before she was sucked into royal life. I've put together the most fun discoveries about the Duchess for you.

1. She has always had a fascination for princesses
For a ‘Tig Talk’, she interviewed Libyan royal princess Alia Al-Senussi in 2014. In the article she already wrote that she has a huge admiration for princesses and all the stress they have to deal with. Meghan even described that she thinks women like Kate Middleton would be the example of every child's fantasy. Little did she know she would get the same princess marriage as Kate a few years later.

2. Her girl crush is Elizabeth Hurley
It seems like Meghan manifested her place as a princess, because in an old article from 2015 she reveals that Elizabeth Hurley is her girl crush. Not only because Elizabeth is a beautiful woman, mainly because of her role in the British series Royals. This series was about the British modern monarchy in which Elizabeth played the queen.

3. She has several nicknames
Just because she has become royalty doesn't mean Harry is going to call her Duchess at home. Meghan has, like any normal person, just a few pet names. She revealed this in a Q&A article that unfortunately can no longer be found. Oh well, I’ll share them with you: Meg, MM, M&M, and Flower. Let's call her M&M from now on. I wonder if England will call her a little flower; most Brits probably see her more as a thorn in their side.

4. She's been doing facials since she was thirteen
Let's be honest: Meghan absolutely does not look 41, at most 35 in my opinion. If you compare her in the Suits episodes to now, I don't think any wrinkles have appeared. And I think I've cracked the code. In an old blog post she admitted which ‘life-changing’ facial she gets done. This slight skincare obsession she inherited from her mother, who said that Meghan has been getting facials since she was thirteen. Furthermore, Meghan's secret for younger skin is to drink plenty of water, always apply sunscreen, and use highlighter on the inner corners of your eyes. It's high time I start following that advice too.

5. She puts red wine in every recipe
That Meghan loves red wine is unmistakable in her articles. The name ‘Tig’ even comes from her favorite wine: a red bottle of Tignanello costing 155 euros, but it seems that Meghan puts red wine in literally everything. She does this among other things in her brownie mix and if that isn't bad enough, you haven't heard her favorite drink yet: hot chocolate with red wine. Seriously, who comes up with this?

Now I'm really curious about what kind of articles will be published on the new website. After all the statements in the Netflix docu and interviews, it has become clear that nothing holds her back anymore, so there is no doubt that Meghan will also write herself. Next week, it will be time, because the site will most likely be relaunched.
