Netflix tip of the Day: Bodies

By
Bodies

Hello, couldn't anyone have told me that there has been an incredibly good and exciting series on Netflix for almost a month? I found out by pure coincidence. Even worse, I thought in vain that it was the horror Bodies, Bodies, Bodies by Halina Reijn with Pete Davidson — also really a recommendation by the way.

But no, Bodies is a British crime series that has been online since mid-October and it is top-notch. For eight episodes long, you won't be bored for a second, also because it involves different storylines in one series. There has been one murder committed, and four different detectives (in four different years) are investigating this murder. Huh?

Detective Hasan discovers a body in Longharvest in 2023, but in 1941, 1890, and 2053, other detectives find the same kind of body. The bodies are found in the same place, and it soon becomes clear that it is essential to solve this murder, otherwise London will go under. Conspiracy theories that circulate across different centuries about these murders and that make us as viewers also guess what on earth is going on here.

That sounds strange, but the result is really impressive. It almost feels like you are watching four different series at the same time, and Bodies remains genuinely exciting until the end. A binge-worthy series, I give it a solid pass.
