Real Girls in the Jungle: is that really necessary?

Shameless, brainless, almost hopeless TV: I love it. So yes, of course I'm going to watch all Dutch romcoms and easily binge-watch Married At First Sight all night long until morning. But even I have limits, and those limits have really been reached now.

And that limit has been reached in the form of Echte Meisjes in de Jungle, the second season of which was announced yesterday, including the participants. Don't get me wrong: I enjoyed watching the last season a lot, and I also really enjoyed Valerio as the host. So really, I understand that a second season has to come… But with these people, seriously?
I turned off the previous season a few times because Michella was really too intense for me. And it's all so insincere and fake; everyone sees that she is super happy to be back on TV, but she has the idea to act as grumpy as possible because that's her ‘thing’ and she is getting worse at it. But it works: a reality series together with Louisa where they are going to ‘work’, which is so brainless that I could barely handle the previews. And what I find strange is that RTL keeps making this while really no one is waiting for it. Hey, RTL: we viewers are really long done with types like Michella and Louisa, are you reading along? In a time when B&B Vol Liefde (with real people) and Married At First Sight (also with real people, perhaps a bit less real than the former) are rating hits, I find the choice to feature two screaming women who present themselves as stupid as possible and create horrifically fake TV quite striking. Not that that program scored well, so hopefully RTL learns from that.
But why bring Louisa back? Just a refresher: last season she had to leave the program early because she pushed Esmee Ipema so hard that she also had to leave the program due to her injury. A logical choice that Louisa had to go, because if you behave so bizarrely, you should go home, but now she is allowed to participate again and even got the aforementioned program. What is this weird behavior where people are rewarded for acting as stupid as possible, pushing people and causing broken elbows, and then being paid to continue displaying this kind of behavior?
And no dear creators, this no longer falls into the category of ‘guilty pleasures’, it has become truly incomprehensible, especially with these participants. The worst part is that Michella will probably make a nice little sum while she only has to be grumpy, has to curse and shout ‘that she wants to leave’ and ‘will never participate again’. Honestly: they are really the laughing third, getting rich by behaving as disgustingly as possible. I understand that they say ‘yes’ to this program, but I'll skip it for now, if you don't mind.
