How nice: this cinema has adjustable seats, footrests, and side tables

By

It's really about time that I go to the movies again, because I find it very relaxing every time. It just takes about an hour before I find my groove because the seats are never really comfy. The news that a cinema is opening with adjustable seats, footrests, and side tables sounded like music to my ears. The only danger is that they might be so comfy (or should I say: lying?) that I almost fall asleep. But hey, that's a luxury problem.

The cinema opening tomorrow is Pathé Ypenburg. It has eight screens and all eight are equipped with Relax Seats; those are the seats I just described. You can find Pathé Ypenburg in The Hague, along the A12. For me as an Amsterdammer, it's not exactly around the corner, but fingers crossed that this becomes such a big success that more Pathé cinemas get a makeover like this. It seems to me a great plan to do this in, let's say, Pathé De Munt in Amsterdam? By the way, you can also find cinemas in the Pathé cinemas in Leeuwarden, Eindhoven, Haarlem, Ede, and Breda that already have Relax Seats (so check the site to see which ones they are), but there isn't one in our capital yet. I think that needs to change.

This seems really relaxing with 3D movies, or am I the only one who finds those kinds of films quite intense and therefore can't find my groove at all? The only thing I'm still missing is that the seats get a massage function. Can I still submit that in the suggestion box, Pathé?
