It always seems to go smoothly in the life of Kate Middleton. Forming a beautiful family with her great love, never making a misstep, not a hair out of place, always well-dressed. But now there is a scratch on the beautiful façade. Her parents have gone bankrupt.

Kate Middleton's parents had the company Party Pieces, where you can buy all sorts of trinkets to liven up your parties. Think of speckled straws, plastic plates with ‘50’ on them, and balloons with rose-colored confetti. Be sure to take a look because it's actually quite hilarious; you even see Pippa Middleton in one of the promotional photos. Oh, hilarious sounds so unkind because her parents are indeed hard-working small business owners, but it's far from royal and not at all what you expect from a future heir to the throne. It's just very down-to-earth. Maybe that's why it's kind of fun, but I do wonder what the late Queen Elizabeth thought of this when William showed his new love to his grandmother.

But now the company has been declared bankrupt and they leave behind three million in debt. A shame, especially since the Middletons have tried so hard to maintain appearances in their lives.
