Science says: this is the biggest turn-off on a date

Dating is not easy, we all know that. In a sea of ‘Dating Disasters’, dry texters and emotionally unavailable singles it sometimes seems like an impossible task to fish out a suitable dating candidate. So it's very understandable that you occasionally turn a blind eye when you spot a (slight) red flag, otherwise you’ll keep busy. Still, the members of the singles brigade almost unanimously agree on one thing: the biggest turn-off on a date.
A study involving 2000 singles revealed that ‘a bad body odor’ topped the list. 75 percent of the respondents indicated they would not want a second date with someone who does not smell fresh. More than half of the participants revealed that they formed an opinion about their date within a quarter of an hour after the first meeting, and another 50 percent indicated that they would still reject someone who is almost perfect if they locate a turn-off that they cannot overlook. Yes, you read that right: the chance of scoring a second date nowadays is almost smaller than the chance of snagging a Taylor Swift ticket, and we all know what a disaster that has been.
What is good news, however, is that positive traits during dating are more important for forming your date's opinion than negative traits. Singles mainly pay attention to a sense of humor and good hygiene when studying their fresh date and care less about wealth and fashion sense. Not smoking is also becoming an increasingly bigger plus.
Moral of the story: take a shower before you leave the house, prepare some dry jokes, and no one can bother you anymore. Curious about what you especially should not do? Below you can read the official top 50 of turn-offs during a date:
