Of course: we all love our partners and children dearly, but sometimes there isn't enough wallpaper glue in the world for them, especially when it comes to going on vacation. Let's be honest, packing the suitcases, checking the passports, and planning the trip often falls on us, and suddenly you have, in addition to a vacation, also a part-time job as a tour guide. It's a shame because we really need those vacations to recharge between the tasks. That's why it's important to always go on vacation with your girlfriends. Did your last girlfriends' vacation mainly take place at Club Pacha in Salou? Then it's probably been too long. Are you still not convinced that it's high time to book a vacation with your girlfriends? Below you will read a few more reasons why it's vital to keep this tradition alive.

Girlfriends' vacations are good for your health
This is really true. Research has shown that people who laugh a lot are healthier and live longer and who can you laugh harder with than your very best girlfriends? Throw in a beach and a few cocktails that taste the best on vacation, and you are guaranteed to feel 110.

It strengthens your sense of girl power
Chances are you've somewhat lost yourself in the routine of children, your relationship, and your work over the past few years. The last time you felt truly powerful was probably way too long ago, and a girlfriends' vacation is the perfect way to change that. These vacations often provide the opportunity to experience new adventures and step out of your comfort zone. Whether it's trying new dishes, doing an adrenaline-pumping activity, or exploring a new city, it can give you a sense of empowerment and help boost your self-confidence that you can rely on for months to come.

It's a boost for your mental health
Vacations with girlfriends can have a therapeutic effect on your mental health. It offers a chance to disconnect from the daily grind and take the time to relax and unwind. By giving your mind the space to breathe, you'll feel like yourself again in no time. Plus, you have all the time to talk freely about everything that's on your mind and you can finally gossip undisturbed about that gem of a partner who sometimes knows how to get under your skin. You don't have to be ashamed of that, it just is. And let's be honest: who can't use an unabashed complaining session every now and then?

Anything can happen
Okay, it can also be a lot of fun to go on vacation with your partner or family, but let's be honest: these vacations are often predictable to the max and truly exciting things just don't lurk at your regular campsite in southern France. On a girlfriends' vacation, that's different. For a week, you're only responsible for yourself and you have your hands free to embrace new adventures with open arms. Who knows what will happen?

That's how I spontaneously booked a flight to Rome a year ago in a state of heartbreak, hoping to have a real Eat, Pray, Love moment, and it happened. My sister and I sat down at the first restaurant we found, where we were overwhelmed with wine and limoncello, and at the moment we were walking home (just tipsy enough) past the Colosseum, a stunning Italian ran after me (yes, he really ran) to tell me that he found me ‘molto bella’. Anything can happen, I'm telling you. So book that vacation.
