Deceptive: Aftershow episode 4

I have never been so content with canceling all my plans for Saturday to just chill on the couch with a blanket and snacks. Yes, when The Traitors is on TV, I have a lot less trouble with that and I also feel somewhat healthy because I’m not hanging out in a bar in the evening, but just at home. Win-win, then. Just like what the Loyalists do: Alone. But. Win. And well, this episode was really bizarre again, and we definitely need to discuss that. Let’s gooohoooo.
1. They have definitely informed Bente behind the scenes that she is now a Traitor. They can’t take the risk of someone rejecting this position again and André being banished. That would be the shortest season ever.
2. ‘So I’m a Traitor now. And I really think that sucks,’ are not the words you expect from someone after they’ve accepted this job.
3. Aaah look, Katja immediately confirms my suspicions. Because the risk is too great that no Traitor is left, you have to accept the offer. Honestly: wouldn’t it have been a masterstroke if André had just chosen Pepijn again?
4. It’s pretty stupid that we don’t see any reaction from the one who was murdered this season, I really miss that. I mean: we’ve had zero chance to say goodbye in a normal way. Ridiculously unfair.
5. What is a nice addition is: Frank wandering through the gardens with a hoe and a dog for no reason at all, with a mysterious tune playing in the background.
6. Loooove the enthusiasm of Katja who absolutely wants to know where the silver was. So much so that her surroundings have to hold her back. It’s so high school and so ‘COME ON THEN’ attitude and I love it.
7. So totally unnecessary again: such a shot of Frank wiping his mouth full of blood. I would love to see the behind-the-scenes of this, it can’t be that everyone was laughing their heads off? How do you manage to take this seriously?
8. Katja: ‘I’m sure André is a Traitor. My strongest argument? He was the first at the breakfast table. BAM. Now it’s your turn. Water-tight.’
9. Bente: ‘Solid argument. I’m in. Yes, I may be a Traitor, but I absolutely don’t want to be, so that’s why I’ll get you out as quickly as possible.’
10. Meeeeine gute: another Traitor out. All OGs are out. Three out of three. And oddly enough, I don’t find the season any less because of it. Even though these are the worst Traitors EVER. EVER.
11. From now on, someone will just be added every episode who must be a Traitor. No idea if that’s really the intention of the finale, but hey: it’s entertaining.
12. I mean… Forcing someone to be a Traitor because you already predict that they will be sent home the next day is really a special tactic.
13. ‘Katja is just Katja, and I think we should just leave her as she is,’ is again such a wonderfully water-tight argument for why Katja doesn’t need to be murdered.
14. But it's really time to stop killing those Traitors, right? Shall we just kick out a Loyalist in the next episode? It's also nice for a change...
