Too fun: Videoland is making a series about Máxima's life

How nice is this? Videoland has been working on the recordings of a new series that zooms in on the life of Queen Máxima for quite some time. The first moments of the series take place in 1999, when Máxima Zorreguieta, who originally comes from Buenos Aires, moves to Manhattan to build a career on Wall Street. You will always see it, but just as she decides to fully dedicate herself to her career, she meets Willem-Alexander, the crown prince of the Netherlands. This is the start of their love story and we will soon be able to enjoy that too.
Although their meeting may seem straight out of a cheesy romcom, they have had to overcome many obstacles to make their love exist. You might remember this (which is immediately a sign that you have really gotten old, sorry), but when (then still) Prince Willem-Alexander asks her to marry him, a discussion erupts about her father's political career in the Videla regime. Can she stand by our future king with this past? And how can Máxima remain true to herself without giving up her family, or will she have to choose?
Of course, we all know how it ended, with that one heartbreaking tear to the sounds of ‘Adiós Nonino’ during the most beautiful royal wedding I have ever seen, but how wonderful is it that we get to watch like a fly on the wall what led up to all of this?
We still have to be patient, as the series will only be available on Videoland from next spring. Fortunately, you can already watch the first images here:
