And now I am addicted

By

It started about three or four years ago. Covid had us in its grip and I felt a gray blanket of gloom being rolled out over me. It didn't suit me, so I looked for a remedy. It became running with earbuds in. Big Willie Style, Black Eyed Peas, and Arrested Development did their job quite well. Except that those earbuds would consistently fall out during sprints (who on earth can't run really fast in Miami?) and then I was completely out of my flow.

Until a few months ago, I was headphone-free, until I was invited on a sweet trip where London and David Beckham were waiting for me, organized by Bowers & Wilkins. To ruin my life, they sent their PX72-something headphones, also in beautiful olive green, and since then I've been using those headphones myself. Also ideal when you don't feel like talking while walking your dog. You immediately look incredibly busy and no dog dares to say good morning to you.

If you think Bowers & Wilkins thought it was enough to pamper me after that: no. Last week their new in-ears had their ‘premiere’ and those also found their way to my mailbox. In fact; they sent them in advance so they could come with me to Italy, which meant my daughter claimed the headphones and I could dive into these new gadgets.

And these don't come off anymore. They fit nicely ‘snugly’ in the ear shell, so no risk of falling out. I even tried them during a tough workout and they stayed firmly in place. Furthermore, they really last a long time; 6.5 hours, and you can just charge them with the cable from your Apple laptop, so ideal for me. I got them in Dove White, but they are also available in that beautiful olive green, dark blue, and anthracite black. They also have ‘carbon cone drivers’ which means the music distorts less and you can hear small nuances in the music very well.

And it's also quite a nice idea that David Beckham is using the same in-ears as you, right? I also think it's a perfect gift for a man, because that's something I can still struggle with.

Now I'll stop with my promo talk. Not paid, just happy. I'm going to listen to Adele again and tackle the Mount Everest of laundry. Because that can be wonderfully done at the same time.
