The writers of Fool Me Once announce new series on Netflix

It was of course to be expected, but still this is very nice news for the fans of Fool Me Once. This series is based on the eponymous book, written by Harlan Coben, an author who has also earned the nickname ‘king of the plot twists’. It reads and watches very pleasantly, even though the plot twists are sometimes not entirely believable... It remains exciting and I never see them coming, at least not.
And the most important thing: it is a massive hit. We are all watching Fool Me Once (even though it has now been dethroned), and next year there will only be more great things coming. Harlan Coben has written 35 (!) books, so Netflix actually has a completely new database of scenarios for series and has immediately gotten to work on that.
The books Run Away and Missing You will be adapted into films next year, and the former is first in line — filming will start in England in the summer. Curious about what the series are about? Let me briefly go through them with you.
Run Away
At first glance, Simon has the perfect life, with a perfect family, job, and amazing house. But when his oldest daughter Paige disappears one day, everything falls apart like a house of cards. Fortunately, she is found alive; completely out of it, on drugs, in a city park. But the misery is not over — it actually just begins. His daughter has more secrets than her father thinks, and as a result, he comes into contact with the wrong people.
Missing You
Josh, the fiancé of detective Kat Donovan, disappeared without a trace eleven years ago. She has never heard from him again and has no idea what happened. When she wants to give love another chance and installs dating apps, she is shocked when she suddenly sees his face while swiping. Josh seems to be back, but in her search for answers, she is forced to dig into her own past, and that is not very pleasant.
Still all a bit vague, but I am glad that Missing You is being adapted first; it seems to me the most fun of the two and I am secretly curious about the big plot twists. The whole I-thought-you-were-dead-but-huh-not thing was already done a bit in Fool Me Once, but hey, if it works, then it's perfectly fine.
