According to Forbes, this is the #1 European destination to visit this year

Curious about what this year's most popular European destinations will be? I always enjoy reading that foreign countries think so differently about it than we do. I would guess that Albania would rank high on this list, as that country has only become more popular in recent years. But then suddenly Schiermonnikoog is mentioned as the island you must visit in Europe, and then I'm really lost..

That's why I immediately dove into this new list from Forbes, featuring the 20 European destinations you want to visit in 2024. A hefty bucket list, with very surprising names. For example, Batumi is in the top ten — I had never heard of it before. It's a city in Georgia that is apparently praised by tourists. It is said to be an enormous ‘trendy destination’, very safe (safer than Vienna, Milan, and London, for example), it has a rich history but also many modern aspects. Funny, because that destination would never have crossed my mind... Now I am quite curious.

The number one is a place that we all probably know, although I am surprised that this is tipped as the ultimate number one. That is Marbella, which they describe as a ‘sunny, five-star, natural, sporty, and gastronomic destination that can please the most demanding travelers.’
