If you flirt this way, it's just not quite cheating

You look around a bit at a party. Oh, what does that one little conversation matter? Just feeling if you're still doing well in the market. And getting a bit of attention from male or female beauty – that feels nice.

Even if you're already in a relationship, that is.

But if you flirt this way, it's still just shy of cheating. So that's allowed, just barely. But really no half a meter further, okay?

1. You talk to another person than your partner at a party, at an event, at work. And you can find that person quite attractive.

2. You find someone else good-looking and that's allowed. You find that other person interesting and that's allowed too.

3. You look around a bit at others.

4. You are genuinely curious about others and enjoy meeting new people. You present yourself openly and charmingly.

5. You flirt, you laugh, you show yourself from your best side.

That's all allowed. When does it go too far? When you're looking for more behind it than this.

Superficial flirting in a bar isn't that exciting. But it goes too far when you start texting afterwards, keeping in touch. It should just remain a silly, unimportant, one-time flirt. And then you should move on. With your relationship, because that's the one you choose and love. If you start texting or seek that person out more than once in real life, if you mainly think about that other person, keep following and liking their photos, well... Then it quickly becomes an affair. Keep it to one chat. Don't touch each other. Even then, you're going too far. So no physical contact. And also don't hint that you're single, or going through a break-up, or say something negative about your partner... No go's. Absolutely.

So don't cross that line. Just stay on your safe, relationship side.
