Maybe it's just me, but when I open my Instagram on the weekend, I see at least 5 stories from people playing ‘Hitster’. Everyone seems totally captivated by this game. It's also super festive: a game that revolves around listening to music. Ideal when you don't know which playlist to put on for drinks, because you create the playlist yourself by playing all the songs from the game. For those who have never played it: you scan the QR code of a card, which plays a song. Then you have to guess between which years this song was released. If you get it right, you get to keep the card. In this way, you need to collect as many cards as possible until a winner can be declared. The fact that everyone is so crazy about this party game has of course inspired TV producers. A TV show based on this game is now being made!
Just like our other favorite game ’30 seconds’ was turned into a television spectacle earlier, it's now Hitster's turn. It’s bound to be a huge success because even if you don't know the songs, you can still guess which year the song is from. For now, we'll have to stick with the kitchen table version. The makers of the TV show have not yet shared when the game show will actually be on our screens.
