Not Chris Martin, but Cooke Maroney is the man who made Jennifer Lawrence a mother
Baby number 2 is on the way

It was a true on-and-off relationship: Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin. They got together in 2014, broke up again, but tried again. Only to definitively end their relationship in 2015. After all that public dating, Jennifer found love with a total stranger: Cooke Maroney. But, who is this mysterious man?
A man of the arts
Art runs in the family for Cooke. As a teenager, he moved from a farm in Leicester (in the state of Vermont) to New York to study art history. He is now the general director of the Gladstone Gallery, which has locations in Brussels, Seoul, and New York. In doing so, he follows in the footsteps of his father, who worked as an art dealer and at auction houses. Cooke doesn't have much to do with the whole celebrity world and keeps his Instagram, with just over two thousand followers, strictly private.
Immediately a click
Actress Laura Simpson, one of Jennifer's best friends, was the matchmaker who introduced the two in 2018. And the click was immediate. After a relationship of, we can say, just eight months, the six years older Cooke proposed to Jennifer. In early 2019, the couple celebrated their engagement at the River Café in Brooklyn, and that same year they married in a luxury mansion in Newport, Rhode Island. The guest list included Adele, Kris Jenner, and Emma Stone, among others. Their honeymoon was in Indonesia. A big dream, if you ask me. Generally, they remain very private about their relationship, but in 2021, Jennifer announced that she was pregnant with their first child. Only a few months after the birth did she reveal that it was a boy named Cy. The family alternates between a townhouse in the West Village in New York and a home in Bel Air, Los Angeles.
Baby no. 2
Last weekend, Jennifer was spotted in Los Angeles with a small baby bump. One of her representatives then confirmed to Vogue that indeed a second child is on the way. When she is due and whether they know the gender yet is still unknown and will likely remain so. Of course, we can speculate about baby names. To help you a bit in the right direction, their first son is named after the American painter Cy Twombly, one of Cooke's favorite artists. Maybe now one of Jennifer's favorites?
