Jay-Z is accused of rape in P. Diddy-gate

By

That Jay-Z was present at Diddy's ‘White Parties’ is no longer a secret. He is pretty much at the top of ‘the list’. The rumor mill about how he was further involved in the case has been working overtime in recent months. Now he is accused of also having committed rape. Together with Diddy, he allegedly drugged and abused a 13-year-old girl.

Now a name

The woman, who remains anonymous, already filed a lawsuit against Diddy in October. She accused him of rape and also stated that there was an accomplice involved. This person was then referred to as ‘Celebrity A’. Last Sunday, the case was refiled and this time the name of Shawn Carter, as Jay-Z is really called, was mentioned. The woman was present at an afterparty of the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000, when she was 13 years old. After receiving a drink, she began to feel hazy and ended up in a bedroom. There she was first abused by Jay-Z and then by Diddy another person. There was allegedly a third, female celebrity who only watched. Who that is has also not been disclosed in this second lawsuit.

Attempted blackmail

The woman's lawyers have contacted Jay-Z with a request for mediation to resolve the case. The rapper, however, wants nothing to do with it. He denies the accusation and calls it an attempt at blackmail. In a response on the X account of his record label Roc Nation, he harshly criticizes one of the woman's lawyers, Tony Buzbee. “What he calculated was that the nature of these accusations and the public scrutiny would lead me to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you in a very public way for the fraud that you are. So no, I will not give you a single red cent!!” Jay-Z ends his statement by saying that he looks forward to showing that it is all very different.

The Carter family

While Jay-Z remains convinced of his innocence, there is one thing he is worried about: his family. “My main concern now is my family. My wife and I will now have to sit down with our children and explain to them how cruel and greedy some people are.” The rapper is particularly concerned about his eldest daughter Blue Ivy (12), as she is at an age where her friends will also read the news and start asking her questions. “I mourn their loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure something like this at such a young age. It's unfair.” Beyoncé does not, as she has been doing throughout the case, say anything. Although she can expect a new storm of hate reactions. People seem increasingly convinced: she must have known about this. Please let that not be true.
