Éven about the look of Anouk...
Was that a rock star or a school teacher at Pinkpop
I'm not going to Pinkpop, but watching is what I enjoy the most. The best artists of the moment (by the way, did you know that these artists hate their biggest hits?) gathered in our own little country for fifty thousand intensely happy festival-goers. Ilse was there, Ed Sheeran, Keane, Hozier, and also our own Anouk. Of course. If anyone belongs there, it's Anouk. She made history there when, after being pelted with raw eggs, she took off her shirt and casually continued singing in her little bra . That was almost 30 years ago and she is still the boss.
But about her look not everyone was equally enthusiastic yesterday. Because was that really Anouk standing on stage? The raw rocker seemed transformed into a history teacher from the seventies. Her hair slicked back, two long, tight braids, glasses, and underneath a three-quarter skater pants and sneakers. It wasn't fully understood. People thought it didn't fit the queen of rock and would rather see her a bit wilder because that matches her personality more. Others found it bold that Anouk dares to change her style so often and so radically.
