Kanye West is going off again on Instagram
It was a bit quiet around Kanye West, or rather: he received a bit less attention. He was, together with his wife Bianca Censori, found in enough places; at the end of last year, for example, they were spotted in Venice. You might think: nothing strange about that, but Ye wasn't wearing pants or underwear and Bianca was kneeling in front of him. A bit of a suspicious pose indeed, and it was even investigated by the local police, as oral sex on a boat is not something that is appreciated there.
After that, they were spotted everywhere and nowhere, especially due to Bianca's striking outfits, they made the news here and there, but further Ye kept a relatively low profile. Until now, because he has gone old school on Instagram. This time it's in the form of a tirade in all capital letters, and I'm doing my best, but I can't really make sense of it yet.
Ye posted a screenshot from Twitter, in which a Taylor Swift fan made a ‘call’: the new single from Beyoncé would prevent Ye from securing a number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Since Taylor Swift and Kanye West don't really go well together, she is asking all Swifties to stream Beyoncé's new song as much as possible.

And that doesn't sit well. ‘When I said that I’m the new Jesus b*tch I wasn’t even thinking about Taylor Swift,’ he begins his caption (I left out the all caps ).
‘Last year was incredibly challenging for me, my wife, my children, friends and family,’ he continues. ‘I’ve been banned from hotels, kicked out of companies (that happened because he wrote antisemitic texts on social media, and as a result lost his collaboration with Adidas, ed.), and even not allowed to eat in some restaurants.’
However, the final word on Taylor Swift has not yet been said: ‘I’m sure I’ve been far more helpful to Taylor Swift’s career than harmful.’ A statement that many Swifties will not agree with, but he also says that Taylor and Beyoncé are both ‘big inspirations to all musicians’.
The tirade is not too bad; earlier we saw complete stories that were hardly understandable, that jumped from one topic to another and contained antisemitic texts and a lot of anger.
That anger seems to be absent now, although I find one of the last sentences quite hilarious: ‘Oh and to Shaq I grew up looking up to you I would love to hang with you and Jamie sometime Jaimie Salter is like a father figure to me.’ It has nothing to do with the further caption, so that is back in his old-fashioned style.
Kanye West was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016, and rumors circulated that he was not taking his medication properly and that during his manic periods he posted this kind of Instagram posts. So it was a bit quieter on social media, until now, but hopefully everything is just fine with the artist.
In case you missed it: Ye released a new song called Talking / Once Again, together with North West. You must have seen it on TikTok: ‘It’s your bestie, miss miss Westieeeee.’ It's just super catchy, I can't say anything else about it.
