Just a moment about Kelly Piquet's pregnancy announcement
This was quite sympathetic.
Kelly Piquet has had a great weekend for several reasons. It was her birthday, her beloved Max Verstappenhas closed the Formula 1 season as world champion for the fourth time and now they have well-deserved rest and family time. But especially there was of course the moment they could announce that she and Max are expecting a child together.
Being pregnant is a joyful news, but for many people, it also carries sadness. There are women who cannot get pregnant, have lost their child, or whose partner may not want children, and so on. Your happiness can ignite the sadness in another.
Kelly Piquet was very aware of this. In her stories, she wrote that she could imagine there are people for whom getting pregnant is a delicate subject, and that she wishes strength to all those struggling with getting pregnant. She expressed that she is thinking of them and understands them.
And that touched me. It is particularly kind to think of others at the peak of your happiness.
