This is what men do when they win a million: totally different from women

Ah, who doesn't dream of winning that jackpot in the lottery? Unfortunately, the chance is quite small. But yes, just imagine. There seem to be quite a few differences between men and women about what we would do with that money.
Men are not as honest as you think. And they also prefer to keep it to themselves when they have money. Research shows that women give more than men. 61 percent of men would not tell their friends if they won a million euros. About half of the women would remain silent (51 percent).
Where 33 percent of men would donate part of their winnings to family, this is the case for nearly 41 percent of women. And women also support charities more often than men; not only when women win a cash prize, but also in everyday life. Women are usually a bit more sensitive to helping others: they have that deeper need within them to support others when they can.
But what do we do if we suddenly win a million euros? Most men (54 percent) indicate they want to handle their winnings conservatively, by putting (a large part of) the money in the bank. For women, that percentage is noticeably lower, at 44 percent. This is not only because they would more often make a donation, but also because women like to spend the money on themselves. For example, over 20 percent indicate they want to go shopping (vs. 12 percent of men) and 30 percent want to go on a world trip (vs. 22 percent of men). Men prefer to spend the money on a new car. We find that boring. We want Chanel bags in six different sizes and color shades, if possible.
Fortunately, you probably never have to worry about this, because the chance of winning a huge cash prize is virtually nil. Let's take the most common form of lottery as an example, where players have to choose a series of numbers that must match the numbers drawn. For example, if you have to choose from 6 numbers between 1 and 49 (as in the Dutch Lotto), there are a total of 13,983,816 possible combinations of numbers. This means you have a 1 in 13,983,816 chance of winning the jackpot. Good luck.
