Netflix tip of the day: Lover, Stalker, Killer

In the meantime, we are somewhat used to Tinder stories from hell. After the Tinder Swindler we thought maybe it couldn't get worse, but the new documentary Lover, Stalker, Killer now on Netflix certainly comes close. In fact: I find this even worse. Because where it was about money in the Tinder Swindler real lives are truly at risk here.
The documentary tells the story of American Dave, who after his long relationship fell apart wanted to try dating apps. With success: he soon met two nice women, Liz and Cari, with whom he clicked. Both different women, but he had a great time with both.
Until Cari realized that she was not the only one in Dave's life and — and this is putting it mildly — completely flipped out. What followed were four bizarre years for Dave, during which he was stalked by Cari.
It starts with furious messages via phone, but soon he fears for his life; this documentary really feels like some kind of thriller where you think afterwards that it surely can't be that real.
The interesting thing about this documentary is that Dave is prominently featured — he even does his own reconstructions. Seems pretty intense, because what he (and Liz) had to endure is really not easy. From houses burning down to pets suddenly being killed… Yes, this is again a very grim one.
