Netflix tip of the day: One Day

It's time to daydream again with a delightful new series. With a familiar face, as one of the lead roles is played by Leo Woodall. We already know him from the second season of The White Lotus where he also met his current girlfriend Meghann Fahy (whom we already knew from The Bold Type). His co-star is Ambika Mod and the series is called One Day, and it really feels like a delightful, sweet, original, and fun romcom.

They play Emma and Dexter, who meet for the first time on the last night of their high school years. After that, their paths separate, yet life keeps bringing them back together; the series spans about twenty years.

The connection they have at first always remains, even though they lose each other physically. One goes partying, moves, finds another love, yet their strong connection persists and they keep finding each other.

Sounds very sweet, but believe me: this series is so much fun. The two main characters have insane chemistry, it's well-written and grabs you from episode 1.

By the way, if the title sounds familiar, it can be: One Day is based on the novel of the same name by David Nicholls.
