We need to talk about Sarath and Malou from MAFS

Married At First Sight has started again (the Dutch variant of course, but the Australian one starts by the way next Monday) and I have had a backbone; I saved all the episodes to binge them all at once. Delicious. By the way, I always find the episodes where they get married a bit slow to start, because the real fun only begins during the honeymoon. This season was actually quite good; those weddings were really nice to see and it seems that some matches are even forming.
So also with Sarath and Malou, who actually had a really fun wedding. They sang along, they danced, oh, how much they enjoyed giving each other kisses; it was so cute. I had the utmost confidence in this. Okay, maybe Malou preferred to be in Costa Brava than the beautiful Finnish Lapland but hey, she quickly got herself together once they arrived.

However, my TV-watching heart is now broken, because that match fell apart. And this is really one of the first (or maybe the first) times that I felt so sorry for both parties. Such a sweet Sarath who has so much love to give, maybe a bit impulsive but means well, and such a Malou who really wants to feel it all but can't find it.
This is the first time I was really sad watching Married At First Sight, a show that is actually purely for guilty pleasure. I can't wait until next week, because maybe there is still hope. I know it was actually filmed in October, but I am busy manifesting that spark will still ignite. And that they will then happily go to Costa Brava together.
