Sorry, but: oat milk is actually really unhealthy for you

Do you still drink oat milk in your cappuccino? Excuse me? We could talk for a long time about milk in your coffee. Because what is wisdom? What do you drink? Well, if you know this, probably no barista oat milk anymore.
It is secretly not as healthy as it seems, that oat milk.
One of the biggest downsides of oat milk is its high sugar content. Many commercial brands add sugars or sweeteners to improve the taste. Even unsweetened oat milk contains natural sugars from the oats themselves. These sugars can quickly raise blood sugar levels, which can be problematic for people with insulin resistance or diabetes. And there's more in it than just oats and water, you know. It's often filled with E-numbers or other junk. Commercial oat milk often contains various added ingredients such as stabilizers, emulsifiers, and preservatives to improve texture and shelf life. You can even have allergic reactions to this. Joe.
The strange thing is, it has such a healthy appearance. Everyone thinks, yes, we need this. It also contains less protein than you find in regular milk. And proteins are actually good for you. There are also quite a few carbohydrates in it. These carbohydrates cause your blood sugar to rise quickly. This can lead to a sugar spike – and in some cases, this is just as high as drinking a can of Fanta.
Although oat milk offers some benefits, such as good taste and a lactose-free alternative to cow's milk, there are significant downsides that should not be overlooked. The high sugar content, low protein content, added ingredients, and possibly low nutritional value make it less ideal than it seems at first glance.
Just stick to cow's milk, then?
