The pants you want to live in
And you never want to take off this sneaker
Spring is in the air. The temperature could still rise a few degrees, but we’re not complaining. It’s dry, it’s blue, and there’s sunshine. That’s why I drove with a flattened gas pedal to Heemstede, where branch manager Viola had a rack ready for me. I love fashion, you probably know that, and there’s a store that keeps surprising me every time it comes to purchasing and that is Pauw Amsterdam. Christiaan Pauw and his mother Madeleine always know exactly how to buy those special labels that create the ideal mix between the understated, sophisticated chic and quiet luxury of Loro Piana, Brunello Cucinelli, and Lisa Yang, to the bolder Marni and Dries Van Noten, with the perfect mix being Golden Goose (I now have four pairs of sneakers from them). As the cherry on top, you’ll find items from the Australian Zimmermann that will definitely make a fashion statement. Today I’m wearing a pair of pants-I-can-live-in from Golden Goose with a denim blouse from SoSUE on top, a cardigan from Golden Goose over that, and a blazer from Dries Van Noten. The sneakers? From Golden Goose, of course. I almost sleep with them, but otherwise, you can picture me in them.
