These are the 9 best series on Videoland

It happens to me quite often: at the office, they talk about the latest series that everyone is watching, and it is then compared to a series that everyone watched a long time ago. ‘Just as fantastic as...’ or: ‘With that one hilarious actress from...’ And of course, I am the only one who doesn't know what they are referring to because I simply have never tried to follow the series in question. To ensure that no one ever has to deal with this again, here is the list of series you must have seen – and they are all available on Videoland.
Downton Abbey
For everyone who loves even a little bit of Bridgerton, this is an essential series. The series ran from 2010 to 2015 and is truly a classic. It's Bridgerton, but a bit more true to life. Still with the same beautiful costumes and delightful intrigues.
Fargo
If you like a bit of action, this is a fun series. It's definitely one that your boyfriend will also enjoy. There was already a movie with the same name, and this series actually continues on the same subject: lots of action, crime, murders, and discrimination are also addressed.
The Handmaid’s Tale
I still haven't dared to tackle this, because the way this series is summarized by people doesn't sound super appealing to me. It's about the oppression and abuse of women, the involuntary relinquishment of children, and the punishment of homosexuality. It doesn't feel very cozy, and it doesn't seem like a relaxing evening on the couch. And yet everyone is completely crazy about it. All five seasons are available for streaming.
Spongebob Squarepants
Call me crazy, but this series has so much humor and sarcasm that it not only evokes nostalgic feelings but is also really relaxing to turn on. No dramas, no misery; Spongebob is a super positive character who has so little knowledge of people that he always sees the best in others. Just enjoy, and perfect to watch with the little ones.
Killing Eve
Do you love crime and espionage? This is your thing. The actresses in the series have already won an Emmy and a Golden Globe. Also fun: you probably still know Sandra Oh from Grey’s Anatomy.
The Good Doctor
To continue on the topic of Grey’s Anatomy: The Good Doctor is a hospital series, but also a bit surreal and exciting in a more puzzle-like way. The doctor who plays the lead role in this hospital has autism and can use it in a very special way. He has the ability to ‘look through patients’ and in that way, with the help of a kind of visions, determine what the problem is.
New Amsterdam
Another fun hospital series, but this one is really closer to the hospital series as you know them. At the center is a very handsome doctor who fights for the existence of a semi-derelict hospital and wants to ensure that it runs smoothly again, in order to provide exceptional care to the patients.
Younger
If you ever feel old compared to the young interns coming into your workplace or if your children start using words you didn't even know existed, this is a series that might inspire you a bit, but mostly make you laugh. It's about a 40-year-old woman, recently divorced, who can't get a job anywhere, all because of her age. When she is suddenly mistaken for a twenty-something in a bar, she decides to just live the life of a twenty-something. You can watch how her life unfolds in two seasons.
Endeavour
Crime series remain delightful to watch. All puzzles are nicely solved, and you can think along, but it doesn't depend on you whether it will end well. In my opinion, the ideal relaxation. Instead of the high-tech gadgets they use in CSI (nice and easy!), everything here has to be figured out the old-fashioned way. The series is set in the 1960s.
