These are the biggest wedding blunders

And the dress that is perfect as a wedding guest

An upcoming wedding immediately brings a problem: your dress. Besides the bride, all guests also have outfit stress. It’s a memorable day, so you want to wear something that will make an impression. A good one, of course.

I’m not generally a proponent of black at a wedding, but certainly if the black dress is incredibly festive like this one from Zimmermann. It has delicate spaghetti straps, is asymmetrical, has the perfect length, and the ruffles give it a playful effect. The name of this dress is Harmony Tango, and despite the fact that I’ve never been there, it gives me huge Buenos Aires vibes . The material is made of sturdy linen which allows it to breathe (ideal for a summer wedding) and at the same time doesn’t wrinkle too much. By the way, you can buy it here.

This is what you better not do at a wedding

1. Wear white clothing
One of the biggest faux pas at a wedding is wearing white. Unless explicitly stated in the invitation, white is traditionally reserved for the bride. Wearing white can be seen as an attempt to distract attention from the bride, which is absolutely inappropriate.

2. Wear casual clothing to a formal wedding
While casual clothing can be comfortable, it is not suitable for a formal wedding. Jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, and other casual wear are a big taboo if the invitation calls for a formal dress code. Guests who appear underdressed may give the impression that they do not take the ceremony seriously.

3. Wear overly sexy clothing
Wearing overly revealing or sexy clothing can also be inappropriate. A wedding is a family event, and what is suitable for a night out is not necessarily appropriate for a ceremony that often includes children and older family members. It’s important to find a balance between stylish and respectful.

4. Too much glitter and glamour
While it can be tempting to pull out your most beautiful and sparkling outfit, it’s important not to steal the show. Over-the-top glitter and glamour can distract from the bride and groom, especially during the reception and the party.

5. Wrong color choice
Besides white, there are other colors that should be avoided. Black, for example, is often associated with mourning and can be perceived as somber for a festive occasion. Additionally, it’s wise to inquire if there are certain colors that the bride and groom prefer not to see for cultural or personal reasons.

6. Wear inappropriate shoes
Shoes can make or break an outfit. Wearing too casual or uncomfortable shoes can be a miss. Sneakers or flip-flops are usually inappropriate, while extremely high heels can be uncomfortable for a long day and evening of festivities.

7. Forgetting accessories
Accessories like a tie for men or jewelry for women can complete an outfit. Forgetting these details can result in an incomplete or too casual look. Make sure accessories match the rest of the outfit and the wedding's dress code.
