This is how Katy Perry celebrated her birthday in Amsterdam

Vans full of fake flowers, a part of Singel was closed off and security was everywhere; for several days, there had been commotion in Amsterdam. The reason: Katy Perry was celebrating her 40th birthday and of course, she did it in style right in the city at the Koepelkerk.

Kept secret

Katy and her team had worked hard to keep the entire party a secret for as long as possible. During the weekend, about 35(!) staff members were around, and wherever she and her guests were, the team of security tried to shield them as much as possible. And not just that; they had permits requested so that no one could park around the location, and even a part of Singel was closed off, bizarre. The only glimpse we could get of her was the moment she arrived after a boat trip through the canals, in style with a large pair of sunglasses.

Went all out

Katy has never made a secret of the fact that she loves a party. She mentioned in ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ that she prefers to celebrate everything big and exuberantly, so her 40th birthday couldn't be any different. The guest list included about 200 friends for whom everything was arranged down to the last detail. We could catch a glimpse of their adventure in Amsterdam through the stories of actress Roma Downey (The Baxters) and photographer German Larkin.

Katy has been together with the handsome actor Orlando Bloom for about eight years and they have been engaged since 2019, but a real wedding has not yet taken place. According to insiders, this won't take much longer and it could happen by the end of this year, but they are of course very secretive about it in style. We will probably only find out when the ring is already on the finger. We certainly can't wait for the first images.
