It goes beyond just smelling nice

At least, that is the intention. I have written before about Gwenda Quax, a spiritual helper who is so good that her practice is booked until mid-2025. In addition, she has four children, but still found a slot in her schedule for a new project: her own perfume.

Smell is, as Gwenda tells, an underestimated sense. Scent receptors send a signal to the brain. This can be to warn us of danger, but also (and perhaps precisely) scent can provide a feeling of warmth and security, something that many of us often seek and sometimes find difficult to achieve. Just like Christian Dior felt that a scent completed the look, his Total Look, Gwenda feels that a perfume is an important link in her mission: healing people.

“It was an adventurous journey in which the scent took shape with a unique result. I got to collaborate with the best perfumers in the country. I knew exactly what the scent should be. This team helped me to actually create it. I now know that coincidence does not exist. The dominant note of this perfume is amber, the name of my daughter. Vanilla, musk, and coffee bean provide a palette that gives you warmth like a blossoming love and then offers coziness.
My eau de parfum is named love, because that is what I want to give and what ultimately is the only thing we really, really, really need in life. The rest will follow naturally.”

And that’s just how it is. Gwenda's perfume is available through her webshop.
