This Sex Education actor is accused of sexual abuse

By

It might just be the series when it comes to talking about sex and consent: ‘Sex Education’. I did not expect that an actor from this show would now be accused of abuse. It concerns Alexander Westwood; he did not have a major role, but was still seen until the beginning of season three as one of the students. In total, there are 26 charges against him; Alexander denies everything.

Acting lessons

The various charges involve rape and assault. He also forced minors to watch or perform sexual acts. The first crimes took place when Alexander was only 10 years old; for 7 years he allegedly abused a girl. His actions then took place during the acting lessons he gave. One of his victims testified in court how she, when she was 16, went to the actor's house for advice on acting and her resume. During the ‘lesson’, she had to undress to really get into her role. Alexander then invented a role play in which he touched her inappropriately. At other times, he forced children to reenact naked scenes from Shakespeare.

A manipulator

According to the prosecutor, Alexander abused his career in show business to manipulate his victims. They trusted him and hoped to learn from him. “Alexander Westwood is an actor. He is an incredible manipulator. All these charges have a common theme: inappropriate touching and predatory behavior.” The prosecutor also claims that the list of charges could and should have been much longer. In court, the actor continues to deny all accusations. He claims that the victims have other reasons to falsely accuse him. The trial is still ongoing and is expected to last about a month. To be continued.
