Deal of the day: to the Azores for less than €250

Have you ever heard of the Hawaii of Europe? I had the honor of experiencing the very first direct flight from Schiphol to this destination, and it is honestly so beautiful that I just have to tip this deal to you. That Hawaii of Europe is actually the Azores, an archipelago in the middle of the ocean that officially belongs to Portugal. You fly to Ponta Delgada, which is the capital on the largest island, Sao Miquel. But the Azores have so much more to offer: the islands Flores, Terceira, Pico, and Corvo are just as beautiful. In total, there are nine inhabited islands, each with their special charm. So there is truly something for everyone, and you can now fly there for a bargain price with Transavia.

It will take a little while, but the tickets in September are now really dirt cheap: €230 for a round trip. Suppose you want to fly out on Thursday, September 12, and return on Thursday the 26th, that will cost you €243. You can easily fill two weeks in the Azores; for example, by discovering multiple islands, but you can also have a great time on Sao Miquel. There are tons of hikes, nice restaurants, and beautiful viewpoints. There are even natural hot springs where you can swim.
If you find September a bit too late, you can also fly in June for a bit more: from June 23 to July 11, a round trip will cost you €266.

Curious about which island suits you and how you can shape your vacation? That works out well, because I have put together a complete travel guide for you in which I highlight each island a bit more. Extra tip: download the Spot Azores app; then you can see exactly where the weather is nice and where it isn't on the island. The weather can be quite unpredictable (there is a very special climate), so you can easily sit in the sun on the other side of the island when it is cloudy.
You can book all tickets via SkyScanner.
