Why May has stopped drinking alcohol
She is seriously addicted to shopping

I have been alcohol-free since January 2, my shopping addiction is still very much alive. Just a little more about that drinking stop: I wasn't planning on it at all. I was the only one of all my friends on a little boat on January 1 Pinot Grigio, but then on January 2, the worst flu ever knocked on my door, and stopping drinking happened all by itself. As long as there is no J. Lohr in my fridge, the most delicious buttery Chardonnay, not drinking is going so well that I have decided to keep it up until at least the spring break.
The money I save on the left (a bottle of J. Lohr costs quickly twenty euros) I spend just as easily on my other addiction: shopping.
The newest item in my closet is these black trousers from Rohe that I bought at Pauw Amsterdam. For me, a bit out of my comfort zone because I clung to skinny pants like a toddler clings to his mother's leg on the first day of school, but now I really can't anymore and I have embraced the wider trousers.
Above, I wear a blouse that I bought in the same store (and then it's the Pauw branch in Heemstede, my absolute favorite) . The belt is from Hermès and the loafers are from CHANEL and they are indeed far from cheap, but they elevate every outfit to heaven and you wear them so often and for so long that the price is, in my opinion, completely justified. My cozy arm candy is also from Hermès. I did say I was addicted, didn't I?
