Victoria's Secret returns after 6 years with a live fashion show

We thought for a moment that it would never happen again. Not of this time, those models as objects of desire on the catwalk, clad in little more than sexy lingerie and some wings. The world-famous Victoria’s Secret show is making a comeback. They were gone for six years, but the live fashion show with phenomenal performances from, for example, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber is making a real comeback. With models and wings, that’s for sure.

Well, just a bit more modern of course. ‘The 2024 Victoria’s Secret fashion show will offer exactly what our customers have asked for – the glamour, catwalk, fashion, fun, wings, entertainment – all through a powerful, modern lens that reflects who we are today,’ the company tells Reuters.

Models like Doutzen and Bella Hadid once walked in these shows. Back then, after all those successful years, there was also a lot of criticism, as the brand was said to be not inclusive enough. There was no room for plus-size, so the comment went. They would encourage young people too much to lose weight and be very thin. They made it too clear that being very slim is the ultimate beauty ideal.
