Why this Greek holiday resort is actually a huge disappointment in reality

You think: I’m booking a ticket to the most beautiful spot on earth. White houses, nice photogenic, handsome sun above and narrow sweet streets with trendy tents. Mykonos. And then it turns out to be a huge disappointment in reality.
Mykonos, an island in the Aegean Sea, is known as one of the most glamorous holiday destinations in Greece. With its picturesque whitewashed houses, vibrant nightlife, and beautiful beaches, it seems like a paradise for travelers. But like many tourist hotspots, it sometimes just doesn’t live up to the hype. And it’s better to be warned in time.
One of the biggest disappointments for many visitors is the enormous crowds. During the peak season, from June to August, the island is flooded with tourists. The streets of Mykonos Town (Chora) are often so crowded that it’s difficult to make your way through the throngs of people. Mykonos is known for its luxury, and this comes at a price. Accommodations, meals, drinks, and even beach chairs can be shockingly expensive. A simple meal can easily cost two to three times as much as on other Greek islands. And Anne Nooshin, of all people, has been there and found it terrible. Old junk, a barren mess, everything is dilapidated, that caliber.
So: better think twice if you want to go here.
