You don't want to miss this juice about Wout Weghorst

Now that Wout Weghorst plays for Ajax, it was just a matter of waiting for his first goal. Just like with the Dutch national team, he loves to be ‘the savior in need’, so he can only join late in the match now. It sometimes looks annoying when he is pumping himself up like that, because I just need to get used to him a bit. But he manages to do it every time again, so yes, I also cheered when he saved Ajax from a draw against Groningen last Sunday. In the Dutch national team, he will also continue to fulfill this role for the time being, and we are all quite happy about that. But besides the fact that he has a really nice girlfriend and cute kids, I didn't know much about him yet. His private life is actually juicier than you would expect...
He is in the process of setting up his own primary school
I don't know exactly what his connection is to Bali, but the school he is setting up is based on the concept of ’the Green School’ they have there. In short, this means that the school does not administer tests and maintains a holistic way of teaching. This means that the feeling is central: mental, emotional, energetic, that sort of thing. And it is especially important that all these things are connected to each other. Of course, everyone has the right to their own way of thinking, I'm just afraid that it will be difficult for the students of this school to then make the transition to a regular secondary school where almost everything revolves around tests, and the same will apply to any college or university. His school is not just an idea: the first location will open in Venray and 42 students have already registered there.
His family is, like him, quite successful
Wout has three brothers who don't have to be jealous of his football career. They are all quite successful in their own fields. One brother is an architect, another is a pilot at KLM, and the last one is the director of the family business. What kind of family business? Well, a pretty large and successful family business. Wout's grandfather started his own oil business around 1930. Maybe you've driven past an AVIA gas station? They have ensured that Wout and his family have always been well off. The company's revenue is around €325 million, and that is only increasing. Wout doesn't get stressed easily. During the corona period, he was quite outspoken about the fact that he did not get vaccinated, which earned him the nickname ‘Wappie Weghorst’. Maybe it has to do with the fact that he was raised Catholic, because people often believe that everything is in God's hands. So far, he certainly has no reason to complain, because he is doing quite well.
