Break Michelle Bollen: love triangle over

The juice channels were already whispering it and if you followed Michelle Bollen on Instagram, you felt it between the lines: the love triangle of Michelle Bollen is over. With that, Michelle Bollen is single again and an end comes to one of the most discussed love stories of recent years.

Michelle Bollen on the breakup
“I understand the question or the comment really,” writes Michelle Bollen on her Instagram. “But if you don’t have the answers yourself yet and don’t know how, what, where, that’s difficult. In the meantime, those answers are there. Or at least enough to share something.”
You might know Michelle Bollen from her blog, which she started writing when her child was born. She gained real national fame through an episode of The Most Beautiful Girl of the Klas, in which her special love triangle was depicted. According to her own story, she fell in love with another woman and her husband chose to let her into their lives, as they later developed feelings for each other.
The result? A patchwork family with three parents – Jacqueline, Michelle, and Koen – and seven children, four of whom are from Michelle and Koen and three from Jacqueline from a previous relationship.
It seemed a success story
Their Instagram showed happiness. Real happiness. And it seemed as if the world, after it had been the topic of conversation at countless parties, was slowly getting used to it. Why not? If that makes them happy.

Love triangle ultimately didn’t work out
But the breakup of Michelle Bollen proves that a love triangle remains complicated. Jacqueline (@jacquelinevpelt) also responds on her Instagram: “Love means flying above the clouds, sometimes working hard. And sometimes coming to the conclusion that, despite all that, it doesn’t work that way. It doesn’t bring what you need, no matter how much love there is.”
Michelle Bollen: “We gambled and lost”
The sad thing is that love only knows losers. No one stayed together. Michelle says: “We didn’t succeed as a trio. We were overtaken by life. We gambled and lost. That is intensely sad and breaks my heart. For us and for the children, because our decisions affect them too. But it’s not something to regret. Not for any of us. Following your heart and choosing love can’t be wrong. Even if it doesn’t go as you hope.”
Her message, which has now received 26,600 likes and has been shared almost 15,000 times, ends as we know Michelle: strong and optimistic.
Everything will be ok in the end. And if it’s not ok, it’s not the end.
